I was going through the posts and decided to run 22/62 gearing for 2s. I hooked everything up, plugged my batteries in and got a weird scraping noise when I ran it. I took the gear cover off and notice the inside was wearing against the spur gear. I was wondering if the spur only went on one way. Sorry for the simple question but this is the first time I've taken it apart.

Only one way, the lettering on the spur gear that has a 62t and the 0.8p face outward, that's the only way it goes on.

What a dough head I am. That was the problem, I had the lettering on transmission side. Not facing out. That fixed it. No more weird noises. That also changed the position of both the spur and the pinion. Everything is fitting much better now. Thanks for the info.
