Get one. They are awesome. I picked a Revo up at Hobbytown yesterday. I jumped it off my 2Hx4W ramp with no problems. I was taking it easy and only jumped about 5 feet high and 10 feet long. This thing is going to be sweet on an offroad track. Thumbs up!!!

If you have any other 1/18 or 1/16 kits and can post picks of your 1/16 Slash or Revo next to them please do. I have an RC18MT, RC18B, Mini-T, and Mini-LST2. My Mini-LST2 did well bashing in the backyard but didn't hold up very long. Seeing these kits next to any of the other mini's on the market would be a huge help. Thanks........

Which do you like best and why? The Revo is starting to grow on me. lol I think the skinny tires on the Slash would create control issues once you start hitting 30mph. They do look nice......

I have the mini revo....what can I say i love the thing, I have been running it on the street only. I did put 60wt shock oil in because it didnt seem stiff enough out of the box, I have been running 2 2cell lipos in parallel....I have two 3 cell packs but havent tried it yet. Off the line if you ease into it you can keep it rubber side down and when it does wheelie it is somewhat controllable, I could go on and on!!! I just have to say this is a great rc!!!

Just snagged a mini revo this week. Nice with 2s lipos, haven't tried a parallel setup as my 2100mAh packs are nice run time with a single. Driven many of the minis and this is by far the most fun. My last mini was a LST2, which has absolutely nothing on this engineering marvel. I've really beat on it the last couple days and haven't broke at all. Also agree that the suspension should be stiffened a bit. At least the front for those big jumps. Could use a nice wheelie bar as well! Looks like the mini slash will be the next addition to the garage.

My MLST2 broke on the first run! The cost of my MLST2 with metal gear steering servos + brushless motor is more than a new 1/16 Traxxas. Thats barely scratching the surface of what I spent on my MLST2.

I've had my mini Slash since Tuesday and nothing has broken yet. It has taken lots of flips that would make me wince driving the MLST2, and just shrugs it off. It's A LOT more fun to drive as well.

Haven't gotten my spektrum installed in the Slash yet, so I haven't had the chance to take it for a spin. The E-Revo is a blast though! On 2S lipo, it's more than fast enough for most any bashing and it's very stable on asphalt/concrete. Hopefully this upcoming weekend I'll get the chance to go do some dirt running with both of them.

Got mine friday, my friend bought one also, we are having a blast!!!

    (2 mini revo..)

We found a nice area with nice sand smooth surface, its really nice, and they are tough, just dont try to do standing backflip and you will be alright, even the 1/10 revo will snap driveshafts doing that....

We had crazy full speed cartwheels, big jumps, and nothing broke so far, only had sand on the pinion near the diff, they are lubed and the fine sand stick on it and it make a grinding noise, imply disassemble the truck to clean the pinion, and dont lube it , no more sand problem

One of the funniest rc i drove, having a great place to ride help though... lol

Ballistic is the best word, in my vocabulary, to describe these trucks. I have the Revo and Slash VXL models. I've been driving both for a week now, with more wheel time on the Slash. I have a backyard track, which is still a little rough around the edges. It gives the Slash a great work out, but the little truck soaks up most of the rough spots without issue. On the track, the truck is truely a rocket. My [stock] 1/10 Slash doesn't hold a candle to the speed and power. Handling is just about on par with the 1/10 scale Slash. It really likes to oversteer in the corners, but it's not totally uncontrollable. You have to learn throttle management. On the straights, it just flies! I have no doubt the Revo would make an even better track machine. It's not a better suspension, bigger tires that won't feel all the track imperfections, and more clearance, but I haven't begun to tune the suspension on either truck. I am sure the Slash still has more in it. I should note I have not run either truck on 12 cells, and all my running has been done with the stock battery packs. 6 cells only. I will say the mini Slash is tossed about easier, but it's still quite stable. I've done some insane flips and roll overs, but haven't broken anything. These trucks are probably the best bang for the buck, if you have the $280 to spend, and you don't expect the trucks to go were the larger 1/10 E-Revo/E-Maxx trucks can.

Here it is next to a Mini and Micro-T....In my opinion, this truck is worth every penny. When I bought the Mini and Micro-T when they both first came out, I was bored after 2 weeks. However, this truck definitely lives up to its hype......I don't think I'll be bored of it anytime soon.

I love my E-revo VXL. running it with the stock battery was fun. Running it on 3s lipo is crazy fast and scary fun.

I also own a full size E-Revo (with novak brushless), a Rustler VXL and a Jato 3.3. I think I will be running the Little E-Revo most of the time.

Their great a no compromise 1/16 dirt throwing machine. Sometimes when you run a mini you feel kind of short changed not with these guys. I run them in the same place I run my 1/10 plus I can run them in small places

I would also recommend getting one.
My backyard is small and has lots of crappy grass and weeds that are about 2-3 inches tall and I was able to drive my revo on it for the whole battery without a problem. My good old Mini-t can sort of do that, but I need to make sure that I do not stop in the grass or it might not be able to get it going again. This is not at all the case with this truck. Even with only the standard, stock battery, this truck still moves really fast and predictably. I was able to do the same kind of loop in my lawn over and over again without the truck going wherever it wanted to. Only my Savage has more authority in the backyard, even my RS4 MT, a 4WD nitro stadium truck, struggles in my backyard more than this amazing little truck. It even can track really well at high speeds, no matter what you are driving on. Best of all, at the end of the run, you can just rinse the truck off with a hose to get off all the mud, I really like that part! Just beware, the motor is NOT waterproof. I took my motor apart just for fun and there was water in the motor. That is not really a problem as long as you maintain the motor, but it is worth noting.

This is my first Traxxas truck and I am truly impressed with the engineering that went into this little beast. Great Job Traxxas.

I LOVE my mini Revo it is awesome. Have been bashing on it here in Iraq and I got all kinds of terrain to run on: packed dirt, loose dirt, asphalt, concrete, rocks but no grass...lol. This thing will take a great beating. Been tumbling end over end several times and nothing has broken. Running two 1600nimh in series with the speed pinion is STUPID fast. Full speed front end wants to float off the ground. Hit a bump at full speed it flew into somersaults and flips and slid on its roof for a while and still begged for more. I can't wait for my 3s Lipo's to come in to see what it will do. If you get one you wont be disappointed well worth the investment.

I'm more of a fan of the slash than the revo. It handles well, i've only run it on stock battery, but that's probably more speed than it needs anyway. I just need to go find some jumps now and see what it can do there.

I like my MLST2 and I was able too get it pretty reliable , but could never get it bullet proof .

Took a boatload of money too get there though and the diffs are still kinda weak , it USED too be at the top of the class IMO but now its the one I will let other people drive while I run the REVO .

As for the wheels and tires , the mini E REVO has thicker axles and larger hexes , you might be able to make them work if you drill them out .
At WARN 80% and climbing !

IMO the Slash isnt that much fun as it just drops over all the time I know you have to drive it a bit different then all the monster trucks but it just isnt as fun as the E-revo, for the design and just what it is ill give the slash a 9/10 but for handling and fun more like a 6/10 its not that bad but next to the e-revo its no fun

mini lst uses smaller hex, guess you could use the hex from the mini lst ill give it a try

EDIT: just checked they dont fit you could get them to fit by drilling the hole out a bit 1mm or two

I like it alot, crazy fast with the 2 batts. took it to a huge parking lot. covers ground real quickly. have to ease into the throttle to get it upto speed. insane speed with the nimh's. wonder what it would do with lipo's
