You will need nothing. It is plug an play as long as you stick with about a 2100mah 3s pack or smaller. As for charging, I use an accucycle elite and a thundperpower balancer that can do up to 6s.

I use ***** lipo's from *********. 3 1800mah 2s packs cost me 51.00 with the fast shipping. As for the charger, they run around $130, and can do anything up to 3s lipo, and I forget the cell count for nimh and nicad, but they can charge 2 packs at once. (I bought this charger originally for my t-rex 450). The balancer costs $60, but i'm not going to use it with the *****s. Since I won't fly those in my heli, and I really don't care about these batteries (only $12 a pack), I don't feel a need to balance them, and once they are done, I will buy more.

I have my stock charger on a rotary timer so that it does not charge for too long. I am always completely deplete my battery so I always start from scratch. From a dead battery, I charge my battery for about 7 to 7 and a half hours. It starts to warm up a bit just past seven hours which means that it is just about done charging.

    Happy Charging!
