I knew yesterday that my E-Revo would be here today and could not get off of work soon enough to get it picked up. Lee, the LHS owner was as excited to get these in as I was so I told him to go ahead and charge the battery that we could run it when I got there. All I can say is WOW!! You never really expect performance to match the hype when something new comes out (and I am a skeptic normally) but this thing with just the included battery, and stock pinion (it comes with another for the 50 MPH runs) is VERY potent. The power is abrupt when puched (wheelies on demand) yet smooth and controllable. The brakes are top notch and will woah this beast down when needed. The suspension is really plush, almost to the point where its too soft. I added some preload on the springs, but will probably go up on the oil thickness as well. We ran it around a medium sized on road track this afternoon and it handles pretty good considering its a monster truck. When we got bored with that, we jumped the 'walls' and it just kept coming back for more. We ran it for about 20 minutes under typical 'bash mode' and the battery still has power. I do have a couple of misses that I would like to add, but nothing to keep someone from buying this model. First off, I really think that they should have gone with a 2.4 radio system and second, the camber link/push rods are not aluminum like the big brother Erevo. I know this is just the first impressions, but if it is as tough as the other Traxxas products I have, it will be a very popular model.

To add to that excellent review, durability seems to be good. I just did a very nice 45 MPH cartwheel down my street with no damage. By all rights, something should have broken. The truck is either durable or I am very lucky.

Just got back in from running the second full pack through the truck and I am still amazed at the power, speed and agility of this truck. I can see where some people will still want more speed, but for the average racer/basher it wont take much to get it dialed in. It has great take off, lots of torque and excellent to speed. I also like a few of the features that Traxxas built in like the 4 channel reciever and the ability to drop in another steering servo. Speaking of the steering servo, its a hefty unit. Even though this truck is 16th scale, it still has some huge tires to steer. I can see where some racers would want to add an additional servo for reliablity, but this unit is up to the task. I am going to add a Spektrum RX so that I can control it with my DX3R (I still hate that it does not come with a 2.4rx).
