    futaba brake bias

Is there a way to rig a seperate servo for the rear brake or a kit using the extra servo hole. the futaba has an option for the 1/5th scale cars for it to have duel servo brakes then you could adjust brake bias from the controller.

I think a rod from rear brake could be bent to snake its way to servo hole in front of throttle servo but the hole is for a servo to be mounted upside down so have to look into that.

This is relevant to my interests.

I would imagine it would be as simple as installing the servo rightside up. It would hang really low though which could be a problem....

Having seperate front and rear brakes would be awesome and very worth the mod.

I'll continue to check here to see how it goes. I should receive my center diff and rear brake kit in the next few weeks. If this works Id love to try and fab it up myself. Give me a chance to explore more functionality on my 3PM.

Still need to try and rig up custom throttle/brake servo horn though.

I guess you could use the throttle servo for the rear brake and put a servo in the extra steering hole for the front brake but I think you would have to make some mount so the servo didn't hang down or it would be hitting it on things.
I wanted to put a really cool signature but I ran

Ya I was thinking of cutting some light copper tubing about 1 inch in length that I can slide screw through, put 4 around servo and screw up from bottom and bolt it on the top

Maybe you could use the t-maxx throttle servo mount you would have to drill new holes in the chassis but it might work.

now for a rod threaded on one end at least 10 to 12 in that can be bent around everything but I think i found a problem will come real close to rubbing sway bars with top of servo.

You don't have to use a threaded end. Make it easy for yourself and use a collar like the throttle uses with the brake spring. Not to mention if you go thicker than what is normally used, You can make more wild bend's to suit your need's and it will hold its shape better.

I favor your 1" long tubing w/washer top and bottom for the servo idea best.

I changed the spring to fuel tubing and it helps adjustments be more precice so going to hold off on the brakes cause I might get a slash or sc10 cause I want to race and no class for the slayer so do not want to keep pouring money into it over a grand allready but dont think you will find a more tricked out one

Blue Groove makes a foward throttle servo kit. You could possibly use that for throttle and front brake and use the stock mount for rear brake. Im thinking it may be possible to assign the 3rd channel for rear brake function...

my Futaba 3pm can do it, it has a bmx function for 1/5th scale cars that have a seperate servo for each brake.

Shawn, I do not know that is from a revo 3.3 that has a longer chassis I do not think slayer has that much room.

I just compared the 2... I have both a slayer and revo 3.3 chassis. The 30mm in added length to the 3.3 is in front of the servos. It should work if you use the front servo for throttle and can get the linkage to clear the second servo. I think it will and have pondered the idea before..... Just havent made the plunge.. I have too many rc projects/build going on at the moment....

me too just ordered an SC10 I'm going to try racing this money im spending is fun but I want to race. will always have the slayer and will try the brake thing once i get the sc10 built I got the kit. I am going to try electric after a 10 year absence cause of short battery life now with the li-po's and brushless I am going to give it a shot. The AE forum is full of a s s h o l e s. complaining about me posting same thing on more than one place. expalined first time on there and was not sure what topics people were even watching. THEN I EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT THAT BACK ARROW IS FOR! The sc10 i got is a kit with no moter or esc or battery or radio and wanted to see what thier racers were running cause I can noy get ahold of my track accept for them to say yes I could race it. I got more help from people on the traxxas slash page. I have a tiama esc and a 17turn motor and a 4600nimh to get me going in a drawer from another I never drove that will get me moving till I find out wabout lipo and brushless. You know anything?
