    Tires

What are some good sticky on road tires for a Jato? The tires it came with spin alot during hard acceleration. To the point that my G/fs Nitro Sport leaves my Jato for the first 15-20 feet then the Jato blows past her car at like 35 mph once the tires start to hook. I was thinking of trying some road hawgs(I believe thats the name) because they look like they will have a wider contact patch. I dont wanna be doind wheelies all the time but i dont want my tires spinning and the car turning sideways for the first 10-15 feet.

The jato is a beast, so everyone here had a hard time finding good tires. If you are doing on road only panther slicks are great but if you do on and off proline dirt hawgs seem to be best. With the panther slicks you need 2.2 rims though.

for a better traction/long life tires go with Yokohama geolander ( it requires 2.2 wheels ). dirt hawgs works great also, but if want open a wider door for other option you may try hooking up a 17mm hex adapter so you can put on buggy wheels/tires.

I'm not real worried about off road. I'm going to have a set for on road and a set for off road.

I really like the Panther slicks. They get good traction and seem to last for a long time too, much longer that the road rages. I also like the 2.2 wheels they are on with mine dyed all black.

    2CH3NO2 + CH3OH + 3O2 → 3CO2 + 5H2O + N2 =Jato Fun

Stick it in a pan of water and boil it until the glue breaks down. Let them cool when you remove them so you don't burn your hands removing the tyre. You can also bake them in the oven but I have not tried that yet.

I do mine all the time !!!! medium/too big boiling pot enough to have the whole wheel and tire submerged. Let water boil first before putting in the tires. Once water is boiled, bubbling, put the wheels in for 8 mins exactly !!! take out with oven gloves and peel off tires from side of the wheels......

If you want some serious on road traction get a set pre glued jaco foam tires. They will give you much better traction than any untreated rubber tire.
If you bought it a Big Truck brought it

Another thing that i enjoy is that the wheels i use for mine cost less than 3 dollars for a pair so i dont even bother to boil them off any more

I have both the proline road rages and the panther slicks both on 2.2. The panther slicks are a lot better then the road rages!
