    anybody runing revo shocks???

Just curious if anybody has tried this yet...the fronts look a direct fit.The rears maybe use a jato ball end? They have a thicker shaft and may hold up to bashing better. What do you think?

    they're shorter...
the big bores are considered 4" shocks, like the losi's
the revo's are shorter and i think considered a 3" maybe? i know that folks use the GTR's for sling shot chassis and cdw's and other short shock droop chassis's for crawlers.

    revo shocks

I knew someone has to have tried this.So a little too stiff up front? Maybe drill an extra hole in the piston?

I was wondering if there are suggestions for the spring to get? seems the revo shock set is available with out springs new, suggestions for what rate/weight to get for softer setup?
also what length is the Ti eye? I saw some 4 and 3 mm ones in aluminium.

The idea for me to run a revo shock is to have something readily available and a larger more durable shock w/out spending alot of money.I run these shocks on my crawler they work great for that. Thanks for all the input with exception of the sarcasm from one thread jack

I've been thinking of the same idea. Just never felt like putting time that could be lost trying to do this. Never got up to do it.

I'm running Jato GTR(same as Revo but plastic body) shock on my Slash, the front is same size as stock, but the rear is little shorter, I replace the shock end w/ longer one. they fit after.

That was pretty much what I was thinking, screw type pre-tension ... nice

RC, do you have any idea what length of end for the rear. I do not have alot of misc parts floating around my pit yet.

A local guy where I live runs Losi 8ight shocks. Much larger for people who know the size of them. I have yet to see it in person though. Sorry for the naming of another brand, but it is on the same subject.

any idea what longer ends were used to lengthen the rear shocks? I got a set to try it and i am also wondering if anyone knows if you can find a longer shock shaft through traxxas or another make. Any ideas

I tried it too, the back is obviously low, but if anybody's going to try it, you're going to have to put a smaller ball in the rod end. This is only for the front.
    "That don't make NO sense!"
