    The itch for 4wd

    Hi All,
I had a Slash for about 2 weeks before I sold it. I really liked it but I just needed 4wd. I don't race, I simply bash in loose dirt and 4wd is just the thing. Well if you are like me take a look at the e-slayer build I did:

    http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=473585

It was by far the easiest things I've done and all those cooking 5700KV motors, the e-slayer is the perfect car for it. I'm running a ballistic 5.5T, 7400kv, motor and it runs cool, goes 32 mph, and runs for over 20 mins on 2s 4000mah lipo.

I think Traxxas should come out with a 4wd Slash but converting a Slayer is so easy that it's really not needed. And you'll see in my cost break down that it's not nearly as expensive as you might think. Enjoy!

I too wish Traxxas would make a e-Slayer/4WD Slash, I have 1 Slayer and 3 Slashes right now. I run in the loose stuff too the Slayer stays glued to the dirt the 2 wheel drive Slash is all over the place Titan or VXL. Still love my Slashes on higher traction stuff. Will convert a Slayer, but too many projects right now. Thanks for the info It will help me.

I might convert my e-revo brushless when it comes. We'll see....

Right now I'm not having issues with traction on the track with the setup I'm currently running.

is the Slayer close to the size of the Slash, like for 10th scale or is it more 8th scale. I was thinking of modding one to run in the 10th scale corr mod class at a few races.

they share the same body, just different body post locations, i am 95% sure they are very close to the same size.. but i shall check their pages on this site

ok, im back... they are both 22.36" long, but the slayers wheelbase is 12.7" compaired to the slash's 13.2" and they are both 11.65" wide
