    Dont know what to do.

Alright I have my 700 HO's installed and I notice a couple of things. I guess my biggest question is right now im using 7 cell 4200's and I get about 15 minutes of runtime which is not the problem the problem is from the time I give it wot to when I let off the lights go out. So im thinking I need to go to lipos but arent sure. I have always been a nitro guy so electronics arent my thing. Would lipo do much for me? I get 28mph out of it now so im not sure if liops would help the top speed as well. If the only thing lipo is going to do for me is give me more runtime then ill stick with what I got. I been looking at spc 7.4v 8000 mah/20/2s would thoes do anything for me other than more runtime? Thanks guys.

The motors are pulling hard enough on the batteries for the voltage to drop, causing the lights to cut out and flicker - I was getting the same thing while running my MMM brushless setup on NIMH, don't have it with my lipos though.

Those SPC packs are really nice and will get you killer runtimes, and probably another 5-8mph on 4S. You'll need a low voltage cutoff/alarm for the EVX.

The 700 HO's would love them for sure.

2s means 2 cells wired is series, which is 7.4v, 3s means 3 cells wires in series, which is 11.1v. For the Summit you'll want two 2s packs, the EVX2 can't handle 3s packs.

Great looks like im going to be ordering some lipos from spc. Do I NEED an lvc or is it just extra insurance?

I'd highly recommend an LVC - you don't want to run them down too far, or you risk puffing them and possibly a fire. I'd also recommend balancing them on each charge.

you will need to buy a balancer for the 230, hyperion has one and your LHS should have one.

If you are worried about your lights going out just install a small pack just to power the lights, thats what i ended doing to mine, i have a thread somewhere here with what i did.

    EDIT: Here it is, http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=476427

My biggest worry is I think the motors could use better batteries. Im going with spc 8000 lipos hopefully that will wake this truck up a little more?

I've had the Dual 700HO kit sittin on the shelf for about a month now. I have lipo's but when my Titan goes, I'm sure going to miss the 60 minute runtimes.

BTW, did you do the water break in with those motors? If so, how did that work out?

Hey Mustang - it's worth noting that those SPC lipos aren't waterproof, as well as the majority of lipos. You wouldn't want to get them wet in the slightest, IMO.

Yeah I just talked to dan at Kershaw and he said his 7 cell 5000 would perform very well with my setup. So I think lipo is now off of my list.
