    alignment and setup

just curious, do not want to throw tons of cash at getting the camber and toe 'right on' but just how close is close enough?

I found the Hudy site, pretty trick tools, seems like serious over kill for a slash but wanted to get forum input.

link to 1/10 scale set. and another question touring car station would / wouldn't work on off roads

ok not sure that is correct but I tried to link to amain hobbies.

I use and recommend the RPM Monster Camber Gauge. It costs $12 and with it you can set camber and toe in. Works great for me and has saved me tons of time trying to eyeball it.

And as far as a work stand, just find a foam block. That works real good!

I remember reading somewhere about a guy that used a tupperware box as a stand. He kept parts/tools in the box and it was a great cheep way to work.

Also ++1 on the RPM Monster camber guage....

Most of your steering settings can be done by hand and eye you shouldn't need to be so precise as what is needed for the touring cars, IMHO!

How are you using the camber guage to set toe-in? I should have thought of that rather than buy a separate tool.

I cant take credit for the idea, it is actually posted on the FAQ page on the RPM website.

For a work stand, I took the T-Maxx stand idea on Misbehavin' RC's site, and tweaked the dimensions to fit my slash. Best $5.00 in PVC I've spent in a long time. Of course, it's closer to $15 if you don't already have PVC glue and primer laying around....
