If you run axial oversize wheels and big joe 40series tires. How does it drive? What gearing works well with them?

I'm a Rock n Rolla !
I just ordered a set of bad lands, but I think I am going to order another set of wheels and tires. Just not sure what else to get.
Are these the same height & width as Talons?

Has anyone installed the following HPI tires/rims on their 1/10 scale E-Revo?

Awesome....thanks for your help. I am just new to the whole RC world as my wife got me a Traxxas 1/10 Scale E-Revo for Xmas.
You sir have a good woman....wait till she see's all the Extra's you can buy.....![]()
Would you go flip my truck back over??
Yes she is...however I think she is slowing starting to regret what she has now gotten me into...lol. Let's just say I already had to spend $40 on repairs after driving it in the snow for just over 1/2hr and skidding into a retaining wall....ooops. You seem to be quite active on here and knowledgeable in the hobby...do you have any pointers or upgrade tips to reduce my repairs? I have been doing alot of research and find that there are many ways of beefing up my unit.
Either way it can be a money pit and which cost more is topic for debate.
You can spend a lot of $$ upgrading in an attempt to make it bullet proof or just leave it stock and replace things as they break. I opt for the bullet proof attempt, mostly as it goves me something to do when I cant run it and reduces the risk of failure when I do run it. Nothing more discouraging than to go out to play and have your fun cut short beacuse something broke that could have been prevented. Just read up in this section a bit as there are a lot of posts from many members sharing their trials and tribulations of what works and what doesnt.
They are big and heavy but they do alright for bashing and blinging. Gear down for them. Im running a 68/17 and it does around 30mph.
If its not breaken then your not racing.
I just got my new wheels & tires on. What a difference tape makes! They are awesome!!

Hello guys, this might sound stupid but English is not my native language, what is this offset everyone is talking about?
The rim will make the car wider then a car with zero offset rims
Helps with handling and rollovers. If you look at two rims one that has offsett and one that doesn't. The offset one will have a deeper dish look then the rim with no offsett

Nice wheel and tire set up,badlands and desperados with 1/2 inch off set right?
I have the same tire and wheel set up and they work good in the beach and desert sand as well as the dirt track.

New to the site and relatively new to Traxxas stuff. Would love to upload a pic of my latest mods but looks like I can't until I post more
I see there are a lot of nice setups on this site.
I don't think they are made anymore
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
they no longer make them in offset, the proline f-11's just came out and they are pretty similar.

I can't find these wheels anywhere. I wanted to mount some mashers to them
If I remember those are 3.2 wheels & tires, & I don't think they are made anymore like started.....
unless you can find an old set.....

To be honest, the most fun I have with tires are on the Maxx Chevron style. The hard rubber makes flipping by turns almost impossible and it's intensely fun to power slide around everything. They don't wear fast either because of the hard rubber. I have a set on one of my ERBE's and the other ERBE runs 40 series Mashers. The mashers make my truck flip so easily on turns... and are very hard on driveshafts.

ERBE MMM 4/6s
That's a 40's rim not traxxas bead
you can cut the bead to make them fit perfectly. I've done it the past with 2.2 mashers mounted on 2.8 desperados before the mashers were available in 2.8.
FLM - EMAXX
I didn't have any trouble getting them to fit. The bead seemed to fit right where it was supposed to.
When I ordered this combo I wasn't even paying attention to the bead style. But it seemed to work out. I haven't had any problems with them since putting them on either
