MODERATOR- May we please have this thread stickied? We could possibly gain more participation in this thread allowing some of us to expand upon others ideads and choices on tires and wheels. I like seeing the diverse tires and wheels folks throw on their ERBE.
Pro-Line Silverado body and summit wheels.

guys I want these rims that everyone is using.... the " J Concepts Rulux 1/8 Truck Whl Std Half-Ups Ylw (4) JCO3311Y " ( Description on 3b@y ) and what does it mean 1/2 offset? it says these are standard offset half-ups
and i'm debating on the Hpi Mag-8
oooo I see I do like that! Is it bad to get standard offset? or should i get the hpi mag-8
Can anyone tell me if the 3.8 badlands with the traxxas bead will fit on these lpr ofna dish wheels? They say 3.7 lpr but then they say 100mm on the description
I run 3-8 desperado's with TRAXXAS Canyon Tires. They work really well on sand and deep mud. The tires are a bit soft so they definitely need to be taped. that combo looks really great!
Has anyone been able to find the Jconcepts rulux half ups with 1/2 offset? I can only find them with standard offset.
I have a Integy aluminum wheelie bar that i used 1 time for about 5 minutes. would b good if you run on road alot, too heavy for off road.
This page is awesome...I've book marked it. The information I find invaluable.
There is such a great community on here with the wealth of information they share.
Rock n Rolla !
I was just about to order the axial oversized 8 spoke and noticed this in the description and am confused. Just wanting to make sure these fit the stock ERBE 17mm hubs without anything else?
Fits all Axial oversize tires and Pro-Line 40 series tires
Fits 17mm hubs with 14mm adapter set - you must get adapters
I was thinking about getting the proline road rage, but I do run thru grass sometimes and Ive read they arent good in grass. So Im thinking trencher or trencher X would be a good all around the yard and street tire. Would anyone disagree, have a different choice and/or an opinion between trencher and trencher X.
Yeah, the Road Rages will not be good in grass - but not that bad on hard dirt. The Trencher X has the new Traxxas style bead and won't fit on Axial/Proline 40 series wheels - unless you get crafty (it can be done).
For an all purpose 40 series tire, I'd go with Proline 40 Series Mashers or Moabs, IMO - I'm sure others can chime in. These tires have been d/c'd but you can still find them relatively easily.
**Note - Proline 40 series tires can be confusing, so make sure you buy the Proline 40 series tires designed for 40 series wheels, and not for Traxxas (style) 3.8 wheels (unless you go with a Traxxas [bead style] wheel).
The Trencher X's are great all around bashing tires. Put them on 1/2" offset wheels like the proline desperado or Traxxas Geode.
They hook up well on road or off. Wear very well, too.
They balloon up a lot on speed runs, but if you are just bashing its a nonissue.

On my track here at home I run the Proline Badlands mounted on Desperados with 1/2 in offset. Our track has alot of loose soil over hard pack. Soft compound M2.
"enjoy your ride"
Im voting for sticky here, As I hope to have some new sets to throw some pics up of sometime early next week. I went a little crazy and bought a couple full sets of wheel's tires after I tried to bake my talons off the gemini's and warped all the wheels in the process.... oops. should have some sweet pics up soon...
I ran that setup.. freaking awesome.

A little tough to mount, nothing anyone can't handle.

Proline 40 Series Road Rages on Cheyenne rims:
i d like to share some experience on asphalt setups, as i run both the road rage 40 on axial 8-spoke and the hpi phaltlines
the only advantage the road rages have is durability. imo they are really heavy and if you try the hpi which are like half the weight its a massive difference. accelerating, turning, speedruns, runtime, differential wear are way better.
this is the setup i loved (p3 rockers, short rods, as low as it can go), but i ran it on gravel as well and one of the tires was torn (click for large):
Hi fuzion, I really like your car/ setup/ tire-wheel combo a lot!!
Could you just give a little more detailed information, about how to get the car so low, please?
I did see that info from you (p3 rockers, short rods, as low as it can go), still not sure about those parts though....
