    Villain motors?

Hello I just want to know what are the diffrence from the 550 marine and the 550 maxx motors???

I think the boat motors are 23 truns
    and the maxx are 21?

So if thats the only diffrence... Could I put the maxx motors into the villain?

Can you run E-Maxx Titans in the Villain? Yes. Should you? No.

The E-Maxx motors have advanced timing, so the motor running in reverse would run slower, hotter, and it would also wear out faster. Now you could run one standard rotation and one reversed rotation Titan (from the E-Revo)... then you would definitely gain a little speed over the Marine Titans, but it's still not much.

On the subject of those PM's you sent me (on making your boat faster)... I'd simply stick with the Marine Titan motors because they are great motors. They require little maintenance and they last for a long time. That's just my take on the subject, though.

We bought a Villain 7.2v and accidentally ordered the E-Maxx motors when upgrading instead of the marine motors. It ran great. One motor may have ran hotter but it wasn't noticeable IMO. I don't think it is worth it though as in that you should order the marine motors because that is what they are made for. The "marine" sticker means something basically what cooleo said.

I have just started using the titans from an e-revo and they are doing great so far. They are only warm after use as well. So far so good.

On a side note, I saw that the revolver 650s motors are on sale for $9.99 each for a limited time. They would be a great alternative to the titans.

I don't have a link since I'm on my phone.
    But just go to kershawdesigns.com
    - look under the brushed motors section
    - they are the first ones

I'm going to try and snag this deal if I can too.

I don't know how many turns they are.
But they put out 211 watts at 16.8 volts vs. the titans 191 watts.
However they put out lower RPM's so technically they are slower, but they will have more torque and you could therefore gear slightly higher.

But the titans are still strong motors, so either work well.
