I had a blast watching him taking control of the car!He made full speed runs, donuts and eights through the sand. The sand was flying everywhere! LoL!
It is incredible to see his small hands on the big controller. He also helps out cleaning the car. I even let him take out screws so he learns not only to bash the car but also to maintain it. ...And I love to take the bug out on a BMX track in the neighborhood. Jumps! In short: we both have a lot of fun and smiles running from ear to ear!

I just put some 1/8 scale aluminum buggy shocks under the pirate bug. 129 mm in the back and 109 mm in the front, with stiffer linear springs. Man, what a difference over stock shocks! Clearing 3 meter jumps, running through tall grass and heavy terrain is awesome now!![]()
Next mod will be widening this bug.
Just some shots:

Thanks! Now let's do some maintenance... It is half the fun for me, though!![]()
I was originally going to make a Bajr Slash but the LHS didn't have that body. So I got a Proline Baja Bug body and painted up Wisconsin Badgers style for my daughter (junior this year). Tracked down decals on eBay. Maybe a little overboard on the decals... Haven't decided on what to do with the front and rear bumpers yet.

The Pirate just keeps getting better & better.
The Badger looks great in my opinion too. Good work. I hope your daughter enjoys it.
Love the Badger Bug!![]()
Anybody get any new baja stuff for the holidays?
Man road_rascal is going to be a very sad day when that rolls. Like the car.
my slayer pro with baja bug slash

There from the axial light bucket set they come with clear lenses i just painted them clear red.
They were working but one stopped after i rolled it end over end only a wire but making up a new set for it,All the other lights are wired up 2 spots on front and i fitted red and blue flashers in roof spots there a bit
cheesy but look good at night.
Heres a little vid of the working flashers this was during the mock up stage so not wired in properly and no front spots![]()
These are too freakin' sweet. Does anyone have pics of one of these done on the LCG chassis?
Hi yoster mines on a home made lcg chassis (a copy of the STRC kit) theres a link a couple of posts up
A quick run out with the Baja bug
Yes sir on that.... your new lid needs a battle scar or two so we won't refer to it as a shelf queen...
I just hate to ding/scratch a new body, but after the first couple it's all good huh!
