    Need Better CB bearings

I need better CB bearings for my 14T CB. I've trashed 3 Traxxas 5X10's in a matter of like 4 tanks. Are there any better ones out there?

and yes I did oil them regularly.

Oh ok you mean the ones with the blue seals. I was using the ones with the metal seals and they're junk.

I don't think I'm gonna shell out $40 for just one little bearing. Plus I've used the Ceramic coated bearings on my racing carts and they really aren't any better than normal ones.

Like i said try the blue sealed bearings, either steal em from another one of your TRX trucks/cars (if u have another) or just buy em, they're cheap

    Weird.

I still have the stockers on , and I only clean and oil them after every few runs.

after ~2 gallons still smooth as new.

I bash out of my trucks, and run them mostly on sand/dirt ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc23JDOTwaM )-so I cant understand how are you guys breaking these? -do you lube them? -or has the quality dropped since I got my truck(last fall)?

well the stockers hold up great. the 15 tooth CB uses the 5X11 bearings. The ones I'm busting are the ones for a 14 tooth CB they take the smaller 5X10 bearing and they wear out in no time.

THANK YOU for that link. After reading the description of the bearing, I know exactly why mine are failing now.

They said the metal seals allow more dirt to enter into the ball bearing causing it to fail. Those bearings they say to run the metal seal towards the inside and rubber seal to the outside.

That's exactly why the Traxxas ones I've been using are failing. They are metal seal on both sides and right before they fail they have a gritty feeling "assuming there is dirt in them".

Plus those bearings are only a buck a piece. I think I'm gonna give those a shot.

EDIT: CRAP I just realized they are out of stock.
