Will using a batt with a tamiya connector affect performance?

Hi all, just won my erevo on ebay £236! Bargain!

I have got a few tamiya-plugged batteries so I bought two TRX-to-Tamiya converter adaptors. My question is: Will I get better performance if I buy batteries with a TRX plug rather than use my tamiya plugged batts through the addaptors?

If there is a difference how much?

Expect to melt those connectors rather quickly, they will be a bottle neck. Best bet is get you some TRX connectors and solder them on.

You can change the plugs you know. Have you considered that?

I had all my Tamiya connectors switched over to TRX. Cars, Batteries and Chargers. This made things a lot easier. LHS did the conversion for me for $2.50 a connector. I had the same comment from the LHS on the adapters being a bottleneck.

KWM, didnt consider that! But def will get it sorted. Have bought two Nimh 4600s with trx plugs, just gotta get some plugs now to conbert the others. Thanks for the help.
