    single 700 question

For those of you running Single 700 size motors. I've seen some with all four motor leads connected to the motor and some with only 2.

Does it matter? Will it be easier on the ESC to have it on all four leads?

You do not connect all 4 leads. Plug 2 in and tuck the other two off to the side.

I've seen it done both ways, personally I went with all four connected on my dewalt 12v conversion.

Inside the ESC, both red wires are connected to the same circuit on the board, as well as both black wires...so you can hook them together if you want, or let one pair dangle, or use one pair and cut off the other pair flush with the ESC or open the ESC and completely remove one set.

Cool, thanks for the info! This 700Ho on 4s seems almost as fast as my Novak 6.5!

I would use both sets plugged in. You will cut the current in half on each so you'll have less of a change of burning something through. Also, if you use both sets and one plug comes out, no worries.

That's true, having 2 wires per side will carry more current than one, so using both connected together will be more efficient.

If you are good at soldering, I suggest opening up the ESC and replacing the wires with good-quality 12awg wire (single positive and negative).

I'm ok at it, so i may give it a try. More likely i'll just hook up both.
