New to Traxxas RC Revos

Hi all, I am thinking of getting a Traxxas for bashing and considering an erevo.

I want something tough for jumping, climbing and general hooning around! Is the erevo a good tough truck? or should I be looking at something else? I want to stay with electric power and off road running.

Also, how fast is an erevo compared with an esavage -stock?

Or should I be looking at a Summit?

And how much would it cost for me to eventually upgrade to brushless? I have looked at the erevo brushless, and in the UK it is £529.00 vs £299.00 for normal revo. -Is the revo brushless good value for money?

Welcome to the forum. The E-revo is a great basher, very tough and handlers great. Stock speed of the 2 vehicles would be similar, slow. I would say go brushless if you can. The power, reliability and radio is worth it. Get a good set of 4s lipos and have fun.

300=MMM, 200=good 2.4ghz radio, 300+= for a great one, lipos=30-100 a piece, good charger around 150 and you'll need a balancer.

If you will maybe go brushless in the future, then go with the ERBE now. Otherwise, the stock ERevo is a beast. It really is a great truck. Personally, I would front the money and get the Brushless Edition. Being lipo ready is just a great advantage, plus all the other mentioned stuff.
