    Camber/Caster/misc. suspension adjustments

    Hi All -

Have you all modified your Camber and caster adjustments from stock? If so, have you found it to be worthwhile?

I am thinking to overhaul my suspension:

-Replace shock fluid (55wt front / 60wt rear)
    -Install variable dampening pistons
-Springs (either silver front / blue rear, or gold front / silver rear)
    -Install shock socks from badhorsie

    So my questions:
-Which variable dampening pistons do you recommend?
-Should I bother changing the camber/caster?
-Using P2 rockers/pushrods, do you guys use the center hold in the A-Arm, or should I change that as well?

Just looking for what you guys prefer. I don't mind testing out each setting myself, but I trust your guys' opinions!

    Thanks

That is a good place to start. It is for the nitro, but the basic vehicle is very similar.

You can clear and print the form. I really recommend that once you establish a baseline, only change one thing at a time, and keep track of what that change did. If you change more than one thing, you won't know which change did what to the handling. And if you don't keep track of what you changed and what the change did, you will be re-learning every time you do work on the vehicle.

And the shock boots from badhorsie are pretty nice.

Here's the Pit Pass article that goes into detail on suspension setup. Unfortunately, it appears to be down right now.

I'm running RPM true track rear arms which gives me 1.5 degrees of toe in on each side. I like how it helps keep the truck from spinning.

I adjusted the rear roll center by moving the hinge pins to the lower holes.

I'm currently running orange/gold springs with the stock oil. I plan to install the variable damping pistons soon and up the viscosity to 50wt. I may or may not increase the spring rates as I prefer a more flexible truck to one that handles like it's on rails.

Tonight I changed caster to 15 degrees by putting 4 clips forward and then changed the hollow balls and shims to zero out the bump steer. I'll give it a go later this week when it stops raining.
