From what I saw, every battery they list is full size and therefore won't work.

They need someone to do a sanity check on their accessory list.

The battery compartment is 35.5 mm deep by 101.90mm long and 20.30mm high.

no biggie..just posted it like 2 secs before..my question thats been boggling me is..3s Lipo..or 12Cell NimH..the 3s is at 11.1v and the NiMh at 14.4v..Which is better for the mini revo??

you will get higher performans out of nimh but all the batts on the market are only about 1600mah and in series you will get 14.4v with 1600mah

lipo at 11.1v will still be fast but not as fast, and you can find 3's lipo up to 2200mah and you can run them in perallel at 11.1v with 4400mah

so its your choice, im going to run nimh...

so would it be better off doing the 11.1 in parallel rather then the nimh in series at 14.4..
is the top end really that much of a difference with the rpms...

    57,600rpm vs 44,400rpm
    14.4V vs 11.1V

1600mAH ***** 3s lipo's are under 20.00 and in parallel will net you 3200mAH at 11.1v, you will have a higher top end on a 3s lipo than the 12cell nimh that has been proven over and over w/ the velineon system on Rusty's and other vehicles. The lipo holds better voltage under load EXPECIALLY against those small nimh batts, but even against good sub-c's the 3s lipo ruled the top speed and run times!

so in other words..ur saying 3s lipo in parallel is > speed and > runtime..got any links on the *****s that can fit in the 1/16 revo's compartment?

Yep. If you don't like lipo's run 7 cells and you will get good results as well. I will try the Maxamps lipos when I get mine.

I wanna try out LiPos and see what they are about..cause right now i got EMAXX 3905 running on 7Cell Maxamps and have been nothing but impressed..but maxamps has jacked their prices..so i got my eye on some tenergy lipos on ebay.(cant find any 7cells small enough for the 1/16)

    http://cgi.ebay.com/11-1V-2000mAh-15...1|293:1|294:50

and the dimensions (if they are right) will fit nice in snug in the battery compartments in the mini revo.

Be interested to see how well these budget batteries hold up. I will stick with Maxamps though.

I know traxxas states 14.4 volts, but running 2 x 2s lipo in series will offer 14.8 volts. this issn't that big of a difference in voltage and I can't see that it would causing any damage, but only time will tell. I know I'm gonna try it with some MA's! I'm buying both the parallel and series connectors. I will also buy 2 X 3s and run these in parallel for more run time.

I didn't wanna risk that .4 V difference, if they have a limit its there for a reason, these little cars have been under extreme testing for more then a year, and have their numbers for a reason..

11.V lipo IMO is > then 14.4 NiMh..I don't really see the need to have these at 50mph+, there is going to be no control what so ever.

So (2)3S Lipo @ 11.1 V in Parallels is the go for 3200MaH, most likely 45min-1hour runtime max..probably 30-45 min avg

These have been nothing but good reviews so I went ahead and got 4 to test these out in another mini I got..They fit the battery compartment of the mini revo, one of the dimensions is big by like .5MM, nothing a dremel can't fix.

you should be good..the charger doesn't recommend 4s LiPos but you should be more then fine. plus considering that you paid 150 for that charger! It should charge it no questions asked.!

I will stick with MA 2200 2s. I know my MA 8000HV 2s will lift my 1/10 Slash off the ground so I can't see using 3s and running off road at this scale. Speed run on the street may be a blast. I can't wait to hear what people think of both these kits.

guys there was a thread a little while ago that discussed the 4 cell lipo subject, the traxxas employees said that it will send the esc into over voltage protection and that it won't work so FYI i wouldn't buy a 4 cell lipo for the revo or slash if i was you, you'd just be wasting your money
