    Power Cell Series 1 Battery

    Are we to assume that Traxxas will release Power Cell Series 2, 3, 4... batteries as well (possibly with a higher mAh rating)?

    i really have no clue, but there are some good aftermarket nmh packs out there id look into...

    Series 3, for 1/10th scale, has been out for awhile now. I don't think they will add another pack to the 1/16th line up though. Who knows what Series 2 will be for. If there ever is one.

    NO!! Don't get NiCd, go with NiMH!!!!! NiCd has been around FOREVER!!! It is very old technology, and NiMH is much better.

    I would buy these packs...

    Why not go with the 7 cell from Maxamps? If you don't want lipo and are looking for good speed and run time....

    whats so much better about nimh?
    the only bad thing about nicd is it develops memory more esaly if not charged/discharged properly...

    Nimh packs can go up to more mah that nicd. For example these is a 5000 mah nimh but not nicd. They also provide less punch for teh buck.

    the nicad pack i showed you was 1600mah, witch is the same as the nimh packs you showed me... and the nicd pack was $18 insted of $24...

    im not trying to proove you wrong or anything i just want to make sure we are on the same page...

    Maxamps is overpriced and nicd flat out suck. I don't think they could provide the power the motor needs.

    You get what you pay for and why not have a water proof battery to go with your water proof truck? There is a reason Maxamps is rated #1 by rc nuts.

    That is a Nimh pack. There is no way that a NiCd pack this size can put out 1600mAh. The cells are 2/3A sized. The most you can get out a of a much bigger sub C NiCd cell is about 2000mAh.

    NiCd can put out huge amps, but Nimh can match that. The weight is about the same, too. Where Nimh picks up is the much higher ammount of power it can store in the same size package (about twice NiCd,) and far less memory.

    maxamps is going down hill in my opinion! there prices keep going up and there quality is average at best.

    I think that I will stick with nimh. Maybe, just maybe the ***** lipo if I get a lipo charger for my Rustler.
