Is that the Titan 775? And if it is, where did you find a heat sink that fit it?
Thanks,
Nate.

Yes, that is titan 775.
Heat sink is stock 540...
I did not find ayny time, so i did sold all my summit's![]()

??? sold summits?
I guess when you get all the engineering completed to make a really FINE Summit or two or three, you sell them and move on to something new.
This thread was way before my Summit was purchased and I found it quite interesting to read!!

A water-PROOF MMM in a Summit...Originally Posted by jesi
My question would be, how does he turn it on and off???
He is probably leaving the switch on and using the battery connection to turn the esc on and off.Originally Posted by Bakushan

I was not aware you can do that.
I have a stock summit (for now) and want to go to the MMM. If I just pull the batteries with it still "on", it will be "on" when I plug it back up?
I wish this guy was a little more technical.
I think everyone here would love to have a fully waterPROOF MMM in a Summit.
I believe it will stay on when you replug in your batts. Someone here that has one still installed should try it and verify.Originally Posted by Bakushan
Although it voided my warranty, when I had the MMM in my Summit I waterproofed it with the liquid tape method found on Youtube. I submerged it a few times in water and all was fine. Then, I tried to do this with my first Tekin RX8 and fried it. With my new RX8, I may go this route by making a custom box for it.

I have two MMM systems. The one in my Summit wouldn't power on so I called castle to see what it could be. They said to cut the switch off and connect those wires together and see if it came on when the batteries are plugged in. It worked and I have been running it like that for about 3-4 months now. My other one is in a e-maxx and if I leave the switch on it will power right up when the batteries are connected.

I just noticed the "sack" hanging off the back of his summit and rofl
An easy way to waterproof the MM ESC is to take it apart and paint the board (both sides, leave the cooling fins clean) with Brush On Electrical Tape. There's a video on YouTube about it somewhere. Really easy to do. Hardest part is taking the case apart without breaking the tabs.

I want more info on changing the locking setup so it locks the rear first, then all of them!

Open the reciever box.
Ontop of the reciever there is a small thingy with 2 connectors in it.
Switch place on those 2 connectors, close the reciever box and TADAAA!
It would probably be common sense if I had a Summit to take a look at.Originally Posted by SwedishSummit

ya i like the ESC box. It's nicer than Jang's handmade from styrene. Jang did a great job on his handmade one but this seems sturdier and cleaner. Jang's had the heatsink sticking out the top while still being WP. Heat will escape from Jangs well. i know the oil method will work but i doubt the little box here is very thermally conductive.
PM me for help converting your Summit to brushless
i was thinking of the erevo dual motor mount earlier today!!! nice thread to bring up noir! i was thinking of using that mount.. wait will it work on the summit tranny? if so i think i want to run dual crawlmaster pro 540's if just one wont push the summit.. noir will a single 540 32t/1110kv push my summit? (i dont know how to convert the kv to torque..)
custom summit crawler parts lol
Naw. A single 540 motor is too small. The base erevo uses two of them to make it go. Novak sell a 550 brushless motor setup (longer for more torque and brushless) but they even warn about heat and over gearing.

I suppose a switch like the T-Lock switch on the summit TX, would be a great addition to this box![]()
