Yeah looks cool. I'm sure you've already thought about it, but hook up the t-lock to the ch3 with a y-harness then use ch4 for the winch! When you select low gear you'll get full lock, hi gear open. And you can control the winch as well.

    Did the Mod this weekend

Had to create a custom Bracket to mount the winch on so it pulls from the frame, not the body. I mounted it between the bumper (w/ lights) and the mount that pokes through to affix the body - Pretty sturdy. Then created a cutout on the front just like above. Running off one of the batteries and with the integrated controller (not using remote)

The winch is powerful, but the truck is much to heavy to pull itself on anything other than a steep incline.

looks good with the winch though - i've always loved RC trucks with working winches

Traxxas should really create a custom mount though.

Was about to buy one, but truck is way to heavy for that winch, so decided against it

Where you've mounted the bottom LED's is where I'm mounting my IRNV LED's 3 and 3 with a photosensor in the middle!

Good stuff, winch looks great! =)

Great job! Nice to see someone tackle a front end winch. Get mine all back together and thinking about putting a winch on mine as well. Nice move on the lights as well!
