I jumped mine into a drain once and the truck took a nasty tumble. Then i noticed the spur gear was wobbly but the truck still went. When i got home i found out the slipper pressure plate was broken and barely hangin on. I would give everything a good look over.
they are all wobbly. the best you can do is tighten the screws evenly, but ive yet to see a spur gear spin true. just set your mesh so the gears are centered on one another so it doesnt spin off or anything.
...true story.
Take the spur off and put it onto a really flat surface, if it's that bent you'll be able to tell if it's the spur or not.
Some like R/C's that are fast, others like nitro
thnx for the advice i will try these methods i looked it ovr nothing broken alright i will try to reduce wobble as much as i can

also check the pads on the slipper if one is broke or missing it will cause a wobble.
they all pretty much wobble. ima try a jato mod 8 spur with 32p pinion. its stronger, meant for a nitro. and 32p sounds crazy. only problem is ull lose the gear cover.. oh well.
i went with the jato mod also and love it... i dont notice a difference in the sound though. it sounds exactly the same to me.Originally Posted by jomaximum

Mine wobbles slightly as well ( stock 86/48p). I just adjusted the pinion on the motor output shaft so it never rides off the spur on either side. Works fine.
I am glad to hear everyone has wobble issues on their spurs though.![]()
