    Very disappointed with a purchase

I purchased a set of the PHALTLINE tires on TREMOR wheels today for my E Revo . I am normally not one to take time to complain but I had to express my dissatisfaction with this product. The glue job on these tire was horrible and the tires themselves out of balance. The chrome was chipping on 2 of them out of the package. Since I didnt notice this till I got home and had them on the truck I cannot return them. I have been in this hobby for 25+ years and have always known HPI to provide quality products. Unfortunatly this is not the case with these. I feel like I just wasted 80 dollars for some shiny wheels that I will never use. What are the chances that HPIs customer service makes this right?

Most people advise to buy these tires unmounted for that very reason. You need to take them off and scuff up the rim where you are going to re-glue them.

davin- since the chrome isnt to your liking......buy some heavy duty oven cleaner and take the rest off of them, and then dye them with rit dye to a new color: blue, blue, whatever!

and listen to gregarious when you decide to remount them

Hey Davin, just wrap each of them in tin-foil and preheat your oven to 500* then turn it off. Put the foil wrapped tires in there and let the oven cool. Take the tires out when you can touch the foil, unwrap them and they will peel right off of the rims.

best way to remove tires hasn't changed.. pre-heat oven to 400 turn it off, wrap your tires in foil, set them on a cookie sheet in the oven right when you turn it 'OFF' when the temp hits '400', then let them sit in the oven until cool and the tires will fall off the rims.. there is NOT a lot of smell if you WRAP the tires up, what little smell there is a standard oven fan will take care of.. no mess no hassle.. watch your fav tv program on chat on traxxas.com while you wait. PS doesn't hure the tires or the wheels.. OR the foam! water and other methods pretty much destroy the foam.

Yummy how long do I have to wait before they are ready for consuption. Sprinkles and chocalate chips might take away the rubbery taste also.
