    Ice,

Nice play on words.. Flame Me! lol. Everybody just flame down a little. I'm including some pics of the paint process as well. Everything Blue, Silver, and Black is paint. Also took the Light bar off the summit and added it to the look.

Here's the scale stuff I promised. Took some cutting to the Utility Cage to make it fit and some drilled holes in the body and Boxes to zip tie everything down. Thougth about the baby bungee idea but wasn't clean enough for my taste. Tell Me what you think

Slashpede! You should Dig This! All together the scale stuff is as follows.
Scale Utility Cage(heavily modified), Cooler, Strap Box, Gas Can, Shovel, Hoe, Axe, and Tire Jack on the back bumper.

Looking good man. Yeah, the baby bungee's are bit out of scale, but I couldnt resist....lol. Gives it the look of actually being held in place. I like the mods you did to get it off the rook, and on the back. To me, this is what the hobby is about, and I dont mean just going scale. Its the creative things we can think of to either modify, trick, make faster, basically, personalize our vehicles to suit our own taste, and not just be part of the cattle drive, following the rest of the heard.

    Thanks Ice,

I'm in total agreement with you about the need to not be like every other "summit" out there. Not to say anythings wrong with that, cuz if you bought a summit, you're cool! Personal Interpretation's are exactly whats grown this hobby to where it is today, and i'm just trying to show folks that anythings possible. Like it or not.

Looks really authentic. The only upgrade I'd do is turn the axe so the axe blade is point down. (just poking fun) You did a remarkable job. I wish I had the skill, time, and budget for that kind of work!

Looks great Corrijo I like the originality to your Summit I have another body coming too (Proline Slipstream) I cant wait to paint it and put it on. I will do the same thing show a step by step on what I did to paint it on my thread. I love the scale accessories they definately add character to your truck. Just be careful with the high speed rollovers the axe could come off and hit someone...... ..........

Lol Guy's. After a couple posts, i turned it around. so the blade is facing down. Actually, after a good wheelie, i busted the top half of the scale cage off and had to do some re-arranging. I'll post pics of the new setup at some point. Probably after i get the lights installed. I'm thinkin two in the headlights of the rubicon, two in the light bar and the two red in the taillights. Aughta be pretty cool.

Just bought me a Rubicon Body for my summit also, and im going to also make it fit my Duratrax RT-X27. It will be my show body for both my trucks, got me some bob dively liquid masking, Blue Streak and Sprint White Pactra Racing Finish paint for my colors. Hopefully it turns out pretty cool and I will post some pic while I'm in the process of painting it! Wish Me Luck!

Yep, I just wanted to try liquid masking film just to test it! They say to spray it on but I brushed it on, I put two coats on but I would recommend if you brush it on do at least 3 coats but you don't want to put it on very thick so I've heard buy squirl on you tube! I would highly recommend it for any applications because it works really good, rather then have to fuss with paper masking tape! Hopefully my next body I do will look professional!

Both of those are very nice.........
Life is not a journey to the grave with the ultimate goal of making it safely unscathed, but rather to show up, skidding broadside, used up, worn out, and screaming YeeHaaaaa at the top of your lungs.
