    Break-in

Compared to the brushed motors and their recommended break-in procedures, what do you suggest I do to my new ERBE to break it in, before going full throttle? Anything special?

Also, what about regular maintenance? Anything I need to clean or oil or whatever on the MMM combo?

There isn't any break-in needed for the brushless motor, so theoretically you can plug it in and go. However, there are a few things which usually need adjusting right out of the box. Tighten the slipper clutch all the way then back it off 1/8-1/4 turn. Adjust your steering servo links so they aren't fighting each other (if they are quiet, you should be fine). And it wouldn't hurt to go over the whole truck making sure every screw is tight. There are a hundred other things to adjust and modify to personalize it's performance to your taste, but those are the three I would do before running.

Alright, no break-in then! As for maintenance, nothing at all huh? Just let her rip and store until the next time?

I always thought you had to oil the bearings on the motor every once in a while.

Yes, oiling your bearings occasionally is recommended.

I use 3 in 1 oil. No reason really other than I have some laying around the house, but it seems to work good for all the bearings.
