    ran over. twice.

finally got my slash put back together after replacing the front bearings and doing a few other things. got it outside. made it 50 ft before it went on its lid. car that must have been idling before i got outside decided it was a good time to back up. backed over the truck... crunch. i was running arms waving. pulled forward... crunch. car pulled away... they must've known something was up as they drove 50 ft, stopped for a moment, then drove away.

the only reason im going through all this- broke a shock cap, bent a shock shaft, and broke the front shock mount. there's a chip in the chassis, but it's still plenty functional. thats it. drove across the middle of the chassis. twice. i love this thing.

im ordering a summit tomorrow morning, but this experience reminds me why im keeping the slash too... that was a $20 accident!

    summit is in the mail...

its a bit of luck... but im pretty confident the chassis design helped quite a bit... the chassis being raised on the edges protected it quite a bit, the front shock bent and the shock tower broke, but a freaking car ran over it! if they ran over the rear end it would be a bit different...
