    Lipo questions

Will a couple of TrakPower 7.4v 4900mAh 25C LiPo Race Pack's be able to power a (quality) brushless setup? Or is there a better option able to do both stock and brushless?
I'm starting off with stock motors but I dont want to buy batts that won't do in a brushless setup.

Just to intercept any erevo BL recommendations: I'm live in Europe so the erevo BL edition is not an option for me as it isn't imported to eur (something with lacking RoHS compliance), and its too expensive to import from us (customs+vat GRRRRrr).

    thanks in advance

    be nice.

CheapBatterypacks.com has those elite 35c 5000mAH race packs and standard 2s lipo for 90ea that are simply amazing.. I would recommend them over most all others, though I have never run any of the newer 40c packs.

They look awesome, but importing from US means taxes+vat, so its a no go

    Followup question:
At some time I'd probable wanna go brushless (with the MMM which I heard are the best there is).
    I read in the
    Total Revo n00b questions
topic that a pair of 3s lipos in series are the better choice for the MMM totalling 22.2V. But thats too much voltage for the stock ESC (which im starting with, don't wanna push the WAF), so im forced to go 2s. Question is: will 2s be any good with the MMM? I mean 2s is 7.4V less than 3s, thats gotta hurt?

No, A lot of people run a pair of 2s lipo batteries, including me. You can gear for around 40mph with the MMM on 4s.

Ok, good to hear. But wont you get more power running 3s? Assuming batteries of equal quality.

You will find , for most, 4s is to much power. With 6s imo all you do is break more parts, and wear your stuff out faster.

4s will be a good set-up on the mmm.

Its all about gearing. Keep it around 40mph on 4s.

I prefer to use a 6s set-up and gear to about 47mph. I find it runs cooler.
and its fast enough for me to bash.
Is there a HUGE difference? Nope.

Trust me, you will be happy with each step forward you take.

People go from NiMh to Lipo on a stock e-revo =
People go from 4s stock to 4s MMM combo =
People go from 4s to 6s on mmm =

    then they hit something

    then buy new parts

    then they fix their truck

    then they start over
    be nice.
