    New motor first one ????

I am ready to upgrade from stock but stay brushed a little confused on how many turns to go to and then if I need gear change with different turned motor. All suggestions and combos will be appreciated. Still sort of new here but learning fast

thats the most common suggestion on here. i just ordered mine yesterday... i hope they get them in soon. they have been backordered for a while.

as for gearing. start with a pinion with 2 teeth less than the number of turns on the motor and adjust as needed based on temperatures. the smaller the pinion the lower the temps, but also slower speed.

pengwin......Is the orion motor compatible with the Slash stock ESC?
How much more power do you get compared to the stock motor?

get a good seven cell. the esc will handle higher but you will burn up your motor alot faster i believe.
