    n00b with questions.

I'm going to be picking up a Summit as soon as my fed return comes in, but I want to pick up the batteries and such ahead of time.

Which purchase would give me more run time?

    2 of these:

    OR

4 of these, with a quick stop for a battery change:

Also, will this LVC work with both set-ups?

    OR, can I run two of these in parallel;

The LVC will work. Just make a Kraegar harness and attach it to the BEC side of the ESC.

Get the Rhinos. I have them. I love them. Way better than my SPCs.

Would you go with these instead of the rhino's?

Also, what is a Karaeger harness?

Hmm, same voltage, mAh, discharge and burst rates. Only difference seems to be physical dimensions and price. Might be a little close on width, 50mm inside a 50mm compartement...but for the price...

    Ouch, major back order....

On a 700-HO I got about 30 minutes. That was in 40 degree Fahrenheit weather though, so at about 70-80 I should get about 45-50 minutes.

Either one will work. I prefer the Rhinos. The cells seem a bit better and I have seen them pull up to 27C constant. But in all reality it is your choice. They will both serve you well. Remember, with the packs you listed you will need to change the connectors to either Deans or Traxxas, depending on what you use. I prefer Deans.

A Kraegar harness is basically a male connector wired to a female connector (essentially making a 4" extension, if you get what I am saying) with the LVC soldered in between them. It will let you put the LVC on either side of the the ESC without voiding your warranty by making you solder the LVC directly to the battery leads on your ESC. You can also take it off if you need to use NIMHs again, which I can almost guarantee you won't.

If you want a picture of mine, just tell me.

Bohh, those ones you linked to are on a big back-order. They could take up to a month to come in.

BTW, the 4s 14.8s I listed are to large...33mm height. Looks like I'm going Rhino!

BTW, I'll probably be using jtek's refinement on the Kraeger harness.

Brilliant! They are awesome. I like them better than the *****s. 27C constant will give you enough current to power just about anything out there.

Cool. BTW, I'm looking at this charger:
    http://www.*********.com/*********/s...idProduct=7523

But it's expensive as heck. What are you using with your Rhinos?

I am using a Team Checkpoint TC-1030 (it is the same thing as a Duratrax Ice) with an Astroflight Blinky balancer. I think I am going to have to shell out another $130 for another, and I will need another balancer. Maybe I should just go with a Hyperion Duo.

Anyway, the best charger ********* has would probably be this one:
    GT A-6

10A output. Same as my Checkpoint. And with a built-in balancer.

Enough with this 'Made in the USA' crap. Buy Chinese!
