mud

has anyone got a chance to take one of these in to a lil or a LOT of mud. if so how did it work. thanks Ryan

yah i havent seen any mud!..only a lil bit of water thats called "dirty" . once i get my summit i will show ya guys what dirty looks like (body should be brown with mud)

When it got muddy, I just ran it through a few puddles and that cleaned it up pretty good.

But Im trying.. that place was a 2.5 hour drive from my house.. not quite going to go there to bash the summit, unless Im there already

I took it through something similar to that. The water in the mud puddle was up to the middle of the windows on the cab of the Summit. Unfortunately, it did get stuck, ripped up grass wrapped itself around the axle, and I ended up going in after it to get it out. I also broke the rear diff in the process. The electronics held up fine, but I suggest giving up once you are good and stuck. Spinning the tires with the diff's locked will just break them.

Why would you be spinning the tires with the diffs locked??

This places unnecessary strain on the diffs and will lead to breakage, also in a 1:1.

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of breakage at first while people pound on their Summits. It'll be a learning curve for all of us, myself included. I hope I don't break anything, but, let's be honest, it'll happen. I just need to treat it like I do my 1:1, like it costs $11k and I can't afford to be without it.

most of the stuff it made to be bashed HARD on the summit, but there are other things that are delicate and you need..like your 1:1 the T-lock is about the only thing that i would say needs to be babied
