Tube Cage for the Slash

One word.....WOW!!

AS I scrolled down and saw those pics I got butterflys in my stomach....

The Cage is really to add SCALE looks to the Vehicle.
It is very strong and light.
If you are crashing your car @ 50+ MPH and it's not getting banged up I would like to know what your crashing into... PILLOWS????
The cage is not for everyone, just the ones that enjoy having something different from the next guy... being different.

I didn't say I crashed at 50 and didn't get banged up. I said I crashed at 50 and I didn't bang up anything that would have been saved by a cage. Meaning whatever I broke, would have broke anyway with or without a cage.

Now if I get an E-Revo BE, I'd consider a cage of this sort. The car is very expensive and the motor and trans are right in the middle of the chassis, making them more exposed to damage.

sell 60 of em and youd be in buisness, thats what my dad used to say when i thought of things i could make and sell and i think hes right,because youd have made yourself a name by 40 and by 60 people would be asking you to make them for other cars

Both are nice, not sure which I like better.

With the 3/16" tubing is it holding up well too impacts? Would filling it with foam add more strength with little added weight?

What kind of cage is that? Will it fit the Slash?

Thats a Integy cage I believe or RC Solutions, but no it will not fit the slash. Wayyyy different mounting posistions.

Hey OSF. wasn't that rustler in the readers rides section of Car Action? Man that is sweet. You can tell you put alot of time into your work. Wish I had those skills. The sad part is that you would probably never get paid enough by the average person for your time. CeeBlock brought up a good point about being able to buy one for under 100 bucks. The reason is because they are probably mass produced my machines. Yours are hand built. That takes time. I would love to check that rustler out in person next time I am in the Temecula area. I am planning to visit the ARC track in Vail Lake soon. Anyway good job. Can't wait to see what else you do to the slash.

Those cages are screwed to the chassis.

If you look at the triangulation design and the even impact distribution points (that means all the bars connect with each other) you will see that it's made like a real race cage. The idea is to spread the impact throughout the whole chassis... so nothing bends on it's own.
The cage I designed is designed for strength and accessibility to the battery and chassis... EASILY, with BODY CLIPS.
It doesn't even compare to the others.

Words cannot describe how awesome that cage is... You should powder coat it black, personally I think it would look a bit cleaner than the raw metal. But, that is still just amazing, very nice piece of work you have there.
