Unhappy my slash is gettin all dirty!HELP!

as u all know, the body of the slash coveres the tires, so when the tires turn they throw all the grass, snow, water and slop inside and all over my battery, controler, reciever, and all of the non-rust proof screws.

is there any way to keep the crap out of my slash? like maybe some sort of tire cover?HELP!

Would mudflaps work? Cut the fenders off to make it an open wheel buggy! But I wouldn't do that if you love the body and scale look.

A new slash chassis is in the works over here that should help eliminate this issue.

I made myself some copper wire and duct tape wheel wells and mud flaps, kept out more than 3/4 of the snow than without it.

I know, huh...these things are meant to get wet and dirty.
Here's the liner I made using scraps from a desert rat shell for my 3905:
Post in the DIY, tips and tricks thread.
It's light and easily removed, yet feels like it'll stay put in a crash provided the shell stays on the truck.
Mostly did this to keep the snow from adding too much weight and to keep the batteries as dry as I could...not that I wouldn't be using another layer of moisture protection via plastic baggie/rubber band or even saran wrap.

Clean it... Then soak it in WD 40. Next time you drive the dirt/grass wont stick as easily. Use compressed air if you have access to it.

I spray the whole truck down with wd 40 about once a week after cleaning and let it sit wet with wd 40, till next time I use it. Helps fight rust too.
