Also on regarding the springs ... has anyone noticed that the springs on the Jato are really loose/spongy. Should they be a little more stiff?? I'm running my Jato mostly on pavement.

the stock ( all red ) revo gears direct fit ?
pls. confirm this Maxbomb & wheather did you use them before.

back to jatonewbe, i'm using the stock ones so far so good.
if you find any of those springs not performing well try to adjust the
above ring either dial down or up according to what you find best for you.

i asked revonitro about his red springs & if it's for the revo
he said no, it's stock jato springs, he just paint them red.
that's why i'm asking you to confirm as many appears paint them red.

    *NOTE:
as Max said. it's Blue in the back " 8 coils " when i counted them.

but in the front ( to me it's not clear ) which color
as in the picture it showe 7-8 coils while it should be 9 if it's the white,

i tried my best counting them
i guess maybe it's either gold or tan revo springs .. not sure though

update from the other thread of ( jato shocks ...revo ? ):

one by newbe rooke & the other by "Jato Nut" himself aka greg markerian.

if someone " like me " wants only to replace the red coils ( springs )
it will also fit the jato system but would be much stiffer.. best choice here
is to get the lightest spring from the revo springs types.

yes. The Revo shocks are exactly the same is the jato's. or though the jato's arnt hard coated. These days the new revo's and E-REvos come with the whole GT-R shock set and springs. they will fit on the JAto. I herd somone said that u have to take out the piston thing and repalce it with the jato stock one otherwise the ride of the jato will be to hard. but yes the REVO shock line is the same as the jato one.

yes fill it right up with what ever oil u want. Or if u just want to grease them use the traxxas lithium grease. u can use that as well for ur transmission when they need a clean.

what kind of springs did you ordred ?
myself going to oreder these just incae:

    http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHFW6&P=K
    http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHFW5&P=K
    http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHFW7&P=K

as it has lower stiffness rate.. thinking it's the suitable for the jato maybe.

I would stay w/ Jato white spring. Revo's are too stiff on Jato, IMO.
