    Looking to join slash community

So I currently have a t-maxx and in the past have had a rustler stampede and e-maxx. As much as i like the nitro power would like a nice durable electric to beat up on. I have a few questions about the Slash though.
    1. Is it as durable as youtube and others make it seem?
    2. Are the transmissions somewhat strong, I have stripped countless idler gears in my older stampedes and rustlers (they were so old they came with MSC's not ESC's)?
    3. How many turns can the stock ESC handle. Still haven't decided if I want to go brushless or just upgrade to a stronger brushed motor to keep the waterproof esc?
    4. How fast would it be with a 6-7-8 cell pack I don't plan on LiPo anytime soon. Still have my old 3300 race batteries to play with.
    5. Can they be jumped level if you know what you are doing? Watching youtube videos has made me question the ability to jump this truck well at all. I know it wont jump great and will rebound harshly but I just want to know if it will jump alright. Atleast so I can control it to make it land flat.
    6. And last but not least. . . Should I do it?
Thanks in advance for the input.
Some like R/C's that are fast, others like nitro

    1. YES! It is definitely a durable truck. Mine has taken some pretty hard hits and some harsh landings, and not one part has broken.
    2. The transmission is brushless ready with all metal gears, so i would say thats pretty strong.
    3. Not sure how many turns the stock esc can handle...
    4. With a 6 cell, I think ive gotten around 20 miles an hour with stock gearing, and with a 7 cell, im sure around 25 or more.
    5. This thing jumps! It jumps level too, ive jumped it over big piles of baseball dirt that is at least 6 feet tall and it lands perfectly and on all four tires.
    6. I would say go for it, its been awesome! I got mine for christmas and its been through snow, water, dirt, and jumped and crashed on cement and pretty much everywhere.

Yeah its a great truck. the ESC can handle up to a 12t 550 motor and a 15t 540 motor. you should definitly get one.

I have been racing for many years mostly off road, This truck dollar for dollar is the best bang for your buck. I am having more fun setting this thing up and racing in the spec class. Gear box is one of the best, no more ball diff the set up is much easier.
