I've been running a Maxamps 8000HV which is about the same size and getting :55 to 1:10 run times in a stock Slash. I hear the SPC 8000 is about the same if not better so will purchase this battery next time around.

Suggestion, get the hold down battery set which will allow you to use bigger Lipos as needed:

Shift the battery forward in the tray for better steering and control.

I have a set of those, they are a tight fit in the slash. They are a millimeter or two too tall. I am a little worried about too much pressure on the ends of battery where the hold down bar contacts them. I am considering dremeling the bar a little to give it a little more clearance.
    It is not a TOY!

I had the same problem but with the repacement battery bar mentioned above it is a much better fit....

I have the spc 8000 for my slash , you'll need to notch the side of the battery tray at the front for wire clearence and remove your hold down pin at the front and add a small spacer then reinstall it. Then it will fit perfectly with out buying anything. It's a great battery , 45 -50 min. run times with my vxl and running it really hard on off-road track.
