i recently upgraded my pro.15 car to a 3.3, the tranny started to shift early. increase in power cause it? now i put a os.18tz in it and it semms to go into second as soon as i pull the trigger. do i need to tighten up the set screw in the shift hub, or do i have to replace it?

You hold the spur gear with the hole in the metal part is up. Roll the car forward while holding the spur until you see the little screw in the shifting hub. Then take the 2.0mm driver (second biggest) and tighten it little by little until you get the shift point how you like it. If that doesn't work you might need to replace the shift hub thing.
    Good luck!

I'm not sure this is a problem as I haven't ran the car out on the road yet, but when I pick up my Tec and rev the engine, once it shifts gears into 2nd the wheels lose power and the motor revs real high. What gear or driveline part is likely the culprit?

your shift hub is slipping on the shaft. you either need to tighten the set screw that holds it to the shaft or replace the hub

What be said, do that first and then if that doesn't help then adjust the shift point, yes... Good luck!
