    Ask and ye shall recieve
Look at how instant the acceleration is:

My driving skills(or lack there of) look good in this one

    Me and dad goofing off.

I was not happy about this, you'll see why:

I wasn't able to see the other side of this table top but I heard the loud thud (the picture camera doesn't do it justice). Terrible place for a boulder! This is a BMX track where young kids could really hurt themselves on a rock of this size. Of course the truck didn't have a scratch but look at how fast the truck comes to a stop from about 25-30MPH. I moved the rock far far away.

Batteries are getting low at this point:

Just me messing around but look at the HUGE BMX track. You see about half of it here!

So it looks like, from this nice lengthy read, that the 3906 handles the MMM fairly well. I am waiting for my FLM bulks and RPM stuff to arrive, as well as the MMM 2650... My only concern was going to be the driveshafts, which it looks like the revo/3.3maxx steel CVD's work with. My only other concern for later, is what chassis to run with. I really like the gorrila racing chassis, as I will be spending most time with it at the track, but how well really does the FLM 3906 chassis handle? The gorilla looks to drop the COG almost right on the ground, kinda like the e-revo... will it be worth it to go with that one and a 3905/3/8 tranny, or will the FLM give me the same?

If you look real close you will find that there is not much you could call “3906”, or Traxxas for that matter.

Yeah the 3906 doesn't fair too well and the 3905 doesn't hold much better. There is not a stock part on it. In fact at the moment in its current and best form I can't think of any TRX parts other than the Platinum front knuckles and the 6 Red 7075 T6 rods(not even the rod ends are TRX).

Get the GorillaMaxx for the track but the FLM is close behind and a tiny bit better for bashing. I suggest the GMaxx to you. And the g4 so you can use the 3905 tranny. Yes use the metal CVDs but you have to make sure you have the supension lowered enough so that the dogbone ends don't pop out of the cups or they will bend when they do. Make sure to get RPM truetrac even if you've already ordered standard for the rear you can just use them for the front as replacements because you will break them eventually. Oh and get the 7075 t6 Red turnbuckles. You must get aluminum bulkheads. Garc, FLM,UE,Dace,HCR,Newera(maybe) would be the ones to consider. 3905 diffs might hold up to the job if you use easy setting. You should be all set. Good luck.

I really mean fairly, as I am about halfway there. My FLM bulks should be here as well as the true-tracks and front a's any day... was planning on upgrading the TRX turn buckles when I bend/break the stock steel...

When I first saw after running a long way over to the truck I thought to myself WHAT DID THE TRUCK GET WRAPPED UP IN!!? I thought I ran over a bag! It was a long way away when it happend and the pinion coming off is what did stopped it.

Thats a big foam! Much bigger than I remembered.

I think they got wet some how and that ruined the tape job. The damage soon insued.

Silly nitros but still let me know what you think. I race there again soon. As soon as I can find an AMB transponder. Does anyone have one they'd like to sell to me?

I've got some picks and videos coming up so stay tune. Next Vid: Skate park/BMX!arty:

Thats okay. You shouldn't need to do anything but Proline has discontinued them. It is a Proline Harddrive for a Losi 8T 1.0.

Popoxx, I forgot that I had never taken any good shots of the insides! I didn't reveal it because I was ashamed of the TRX diffs that I had installed since UE left out a critical gear in a package, but the trx have lasted months!! I kept waiting for them to die! I really think the center diff somehow protects the diffs I don't know how! Maybe this is another reason for you to install your CD. But your UE diffs should hold up for a long time. I may sell my UE diffs since neither of my trucks seem to need them.

I need a video editor program sooo bad. Somebody reccomend a good one and I'll spend whatever.

Oh yeah and what do you think? The pinion came off as I was getting more daring. This beautiful truck makes single well landed back flip a piece of cake, I was about to put it way out there and try some doubles. Front flips are tramatic, it does rotate and mutates! When you get on the brakes it goes into a mad triple sideways front flip mutation! By shear luck would I land it. I'm going to try it thursday! lol

Yeah I said I was gonna retire the Mashers but I've done some things to my truck that allow the electronics to stay real cool and for the flips I wanted more ground clearence and big fat tires for rotational mass. I'll always proformance bash with those tires my cousin bought me for christmas after seeing me mention on RCM that I wanted them just like Flo's. They rock!! And are VERY light! Better than my Badlands. Badland would have done better if I had mounted them on some rims that were bigger instead of mounting them on the correct rims. ALL badlands mounted on the proline reccomended rims SQUASH in the corners, ticked me off. They got nasty good grip though.

I am doing a total rebuild of the truck and I went to open my CCNeu for the first time to inspect the bearing and I found this stuff on the ends of the rotor. Umm look...VVV what is it? Its good right?

Here is what it replaced. Novak HVMAXX rotor.

Its solid. Temps are always under 150. Its been a great performer for a year and a half. Running it at least twice a every week with the exception of a few months where I was really busy or away. It pushes this truck around like a rag doll of course, no surprise. It is the motor of choice since its apperance.

Also how do I remove the bearing on the pinion side?

UE Titanium! I'll never run out of these, got them all for $35 shipped from a great member on UE.

Just kinda missing around... I'll probably never run this way. Its a neat concept though.

The Ultralites will go back in this week! I think I now know what broke the unbreakable 8 spider diffs... I'll post up later this week or next.

I have the truck back together after the huge rebuild. Its great. All new Avid bearing. Finally all of Jacob's Proline Powerstrokes are on. I plan to bash them 2day or 2moro but regardless at the end of the week I'm going to probably empty them and add some 60wt oil. I haven't figured out how I'm going to clean them completely any suggestions? I can't remember how I've done this in the past. I got my arms and bracing done, made a new CD top plate out of FullForce CF, switched completely to a one battery setup with my 4s Hyperion next month I'll order a 6500 4s pack so I can run 25 minute mains, and moved my ESC and cleaned up the wiring a bit.

Jacob, the diffs where doing great! Infact I opened the rear one up just to peak and it was missing a tooth but running fine. I finally got my UE 8spider diffs fixed so I'll take them out at the end of the week and put the UE Ultralites back in.

I also filled the GS storm CD with 30k. I don't know what was in it.

    Remaining victory points:
    -VTR Calibers
-7075 aluminum opposite motor mount CD bulk, its plastic now.
    -35c Hyperion 4s 6500mah
-My own custom lower profile towers
-CF steering rx tray/deck/plate, its aluminum now.
-Another body just like the one I have now.
-Alittle more camber and some other tuning to do.
-Would be cool to have a Slipperential one day.

Is this a good place to keep my extra rotor?

Oh and the UE diffs I think it was the TRX shafts that broke them. Sometimes after a weird landing the RPM suspension would flex allowing a CVD dogbone to monentarily pop out resulting in one of three possiblities... one a bent shaft, two a broken dogbone pin, or three a cracked diff. You can imagine this happening if you understand the forces applied to the inside of the diff when a pin is half in and half out of a cup and then severe pressure is put on it by the suspension try to push it back in against the diff cup upon landing the jump and it spinning all time by the brushless motor.

    Thanks,
    Zack

I've got good news. CC Combo is Still Tearing UP My 3906! Bad news: that battery from several months ago is toast. I salvaged 3 cells off of it but I haven't re-figured them.

I've been updating another thread lazily but have entirely neglected this one. I'll do better.

Got killer 16mm HPI Vorza shocks coming to go with the shorty towers.

Hopefully it will work if not I'll make it work with some carbon fiber on the arms.

I'm getting the whole center bulk, both braces front and rear in aluminium now. before the rear one has been plastic. It should sure up the truck.

    I have loved this build.

Here is an old picture of my first ever painted body on the truck with the goofy big 40s Mashers. Taken last fall.

I'm waiting on one part. I've still got to do some work on the RCM battery tray but it should be easy.

    Thanks for looking.
