i think that you want a mamba monster for a neu motor. dont think mamba max quite cuts it. but the motor you will want is the 1515 1y

Depends on the total voltage of batteries you're going to use, what top speed you want, racing or bashing. You can ran a 1515 1.5D on 4S with that Mamba maxx.

I have a TeknoRC Neu 1515 1Y/F running on 5S 25C 5000mah Neu batteries on my truggy, Medusa 36-7-2000Kv with same batteries on my revo conversion.

Most will be pushing the combo (a 1515 1Y) but I have heard from a few people that the Neu runs cooler so it's something to consider. I would get the TeknoRC Neu because it is built by Neu with changes to support surface RC (closed can, slotted rotor, etc.).

yes. the real neu runs generally about 20* cooler than the castle neu.
look the 1y/f is on sale! http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=1971
    btw all neus are slotted.

If your gonna get a MMM,why not the combo? The Monster motor seems to be proving itself nicely.

+1 on the combo. Unless you want to pay more for a motor with convenient openings for rocks and dust.

The tekno neu runs hotter than the origional neu.

For the same reason that the castle one does.

They sealed the can for debris...so there is no air flow through the windings.

IMO, The heat trade off is worth it to keep the motor clean. Neu design motors dont really run hot anyway.

Tekno doesnt make a 1D/f Neu. You probably wouldnt want one at 4100kv...its too much.

    Maybe you mean the 1.5D?

In which case.....they dont solder the bullets on the 1.5d because they cant fit the windings into a 4mm bullet....All of the other ones come with the 4mm IIRC.

just a heads up 4 ya.

oh!, and the combo comes presoldered.

You can go as fast as your batteries will handle with the CC motor. But to each his own.
