many people say the the cc neu does not even compare to the real neu but then lately many people have been confusing me saying that they basically are the same thing . which they are but performance wise i dont know . can someone clear this up thanks

So, what's are the temp differences, speeds, torque, and run times with the same ESC and same gearing?

ya i did here that the reg. neu runs cooler but do any of you guys have the reg neu not the tekno

and how much dust and dirt actually gets into the motor cuz that really all im worried about scince the tekno neu is sold out

Well I have been out running my e-revo today with the castle combo in it. I wanted to know if 175*f is to hot for this motor(checked it at the 14min mark). Its 45*F outside . I have it geared 22/65 with losi super bolt-on tires( a hair more than 6 3/8'' diameter ). Running on 4s 6000mah 25c enerlands. Truck weighs in at 10 pounds 13 oz full rtr. I did have it geared 22/62 and it was 172*F after 10min (38* outside). The lipo got at the hottest 130*F

So is my setup ok and will I be able to run it like this in the summer? Also are my temps ok?

Forget to add the mmm's fan was on when I checked the temps on all my runs ( all after about 10mins of running in just the yard[ its all flat ]) but couldnt get the tempgun to tead over 105

similar speeds probably and hotter temps for the combo. it seems that the real neu is realy the best you can get.

What is it? $164 for the MMM ESC alone? $136 for that motor?

So what is a BAD temp? What temp should motors be? At what degree will the brushless motor fail due to heat issues?

You guys think strapping on 4 fans to the motor is gonna make a huge difference?

CC has said 200 is no problem for there motor.

I'm not sure about the "real" neu, but my cc/neu has had no heat problems so far. I have it in a e revo geared 22/54, with lpr sized tires. I am running 2s 8000 lipos. My motor temps after 20 min. of hard driving were 127 and the esc didn't break 100. I would say those temps are great. Some of the posts I have been reading with higher temps seem to be on trucks that are geared fairly low. I love the set up, and hopefully I will be able to maintain the good temps.

I should have done that with my Twin VXL setup... Just a few hours ago, I realized one of the motors is grinding. Not turning too easily. I feel a lot of dirt and sand in that one

are you sure the square can fits? i thought those were for the losi conversions with 1/8 buggies and such. it looks like it might not fit well as even with a finned 1515, you can only gear like 56/22 as a low gear. you might wanna talk to tekno or impackt to make sure.

as far as the differences between the 2, my "real" neu aka the black can...it has always run about 30 degrees cooler with a little more torque than my buddies tekno.

I'm running 6s 1515 1y f geared 22/54 tape covers over the back of the original neu so the dirt doesn't get in and as for the temps, i don't have a temp gun yet, but i can hold it my hand after 30mins run time no problem, don't waste your time with a fan if your going to run with the original Neu.

Nobody knows yet.It seems people want to assume it runs the same,but that is unproven.So go ahead and buy both,along with a datalogger and let us know how it turns out.

You can't go wrong with any neu motor

I have absolutely no doubt that an neu is monster of all monsters. Its just I would like to see if the CC one is anywhere as good. Also whether or not the medusa 3670 2000 or 2300 would be a good fit. And thats mainly cause of price. Already spent more than a grand on my erevo is less than 5 months of owning it. It took me well over a year with my rusty.

Why does it matter if the cc-neu runs exactly like a neu or tekno-neu? If it is any where close, it's plenty fast. Even if the cc version is a bit hotter and slower, can you build anything near that kind of power for the money cc offers?

I can brag to my friends that I have a 6s monster all day. But honestly, I never even run it on 6s. Thats only good for making speed runs. I find 4s to be way more fun than 5 or 6 because I can actually use the whole power band. This is just one guys opionion, what do I know.

Thats what I'm gonna end up running.I've loved my 60 can,but that can go in the 3905.For most the batteries are gonna be the limit,not the motor,so as long as you have a good motor,you should be happy with the performance.

Well thats just it the Neu and its offspring are mentioned all the time. You and a few others mention the medusa and as for the brand I use (hacker) barely a blurb. These boards have a way of making you doubt your choices. Same goes with batteries. Mention a certain brand name thats not what the concensus uses and it opens the flood gates.

Yes these boards become overwhelmed with what is popular,and if thats not what you have then your wrong.The truth is there are many answers to this equation we call rc,and the fact that there are unlimited variables,in drivers,means there are many different ways to get at what works for you.

i got the finned reg black neu um do you have a prob with the pinion slipping or did you shim the shaft down and i said this befor but no one answered what do you think of shrink wrap on the motor to keep the dirt out
