I have never made my Slayer RWD but I have thought about trying it. I say go for it and see what happens.

Be sure you dont remove the front center driveshaft or you will lose the brake...

How will removing the front center driveshaft give me no brakes? The motor provides the braking...

The motor dosnt provide braking the brake disk stops the spur gear from spinning.

Just an idea you could try putting the front wheels on without the hexes.

Maybe a nitro with mechanical breaks, but on the e revo the motor is the breaks. The disk on the spur gear is the slipper clutch.

i think most people thought it was nitro or somethin lol. If a truck is ment for awd and u make it rear rear only it sucks. my buggy has lost a set screw and made it rear wheel only and u get a quarter of the speedd

Uh, yeah. There are no physical breaks on the truck, breaking is controlled by the ESC through the motor.
Peeps have tried this on E-Maxxes. It works ok for trucks that are built for speed, on pavement. For off road the truck is really unstable, it was designed for 4wd.

yeah. mech brakes are for nitros. wish they would put them in electrics too so we could run air based esc's (hv's) but give it a try i ran my emaxx like that. it ran ok

No one has posted here for a while but running RWD only is easy, just take off the first segment of driveline that goes up front. I did it, Redneck style, check it out!

It's actually crazy how much more powerful the truck feels w/o having to send power up front. It's completely uncontrollable though, especially in dirt.

Revo, thats cute... having your little girl go and flip the rig back over. Mine is afraid of my trucks for some reason. One time only I had just crept up on her with my vxl stampede.. just kinda slowly followed her like I was gonna "get" her and now she has a phobia. She's only 3.5 now so am sure she'll outgrow it.

lol. pedephobia! I love it! My E-Maxx has that after being hit at 50 mph with a VXL stupede breaking the chassis in half!
