Now before you jump me for not searching this, I did. I couldnt find the answer I was looking for.
I was talking to my father about electric motors he uses at work for grinding and how he rebuilds them for fun, ect ect. I got to the point of how you all say the brushed motors are "waterproof." My father being a fairly wise man asked if the motors were sealed...I said I dont believe so. His next question was what keeps them from shorting out? Like across the brushes?
So my questions are:
1. Are the motors sealed, and I was wrong?
2. If not how do you keep them from shorting across?
3. Do you waterproof guys have to seal the connectors for the battery to the esc? If so, how do you do it in most common cases?
