Has anyone here ever lost a brushless motor or esc due to water damage? I have always heard that you shouldn't run them in water and what not. I understand that submerging the vehicle is not a good idea, but has anyone lost one due to driving in the rain, snow, or small puddles? The reason I ask is because I have heard the same thing with lipo's, but one day I removed my motor and esc and gave my revo a bath and forgot to remove the batteries. They are maxamp 8000's and they didn't get damaged. They might as well have been submerged with as much water as there was (I was in the bath tub using the removable shower head). So I was just wondering if this stuff was as sensitive to water as people make them sound, or if it's somewhat of an urban legend?
