    3.3 vs. OS .21tm

What are some of the pros and cons of upgrading from a 3.3 to an OS .21 tm engine. I'm looking for a bit more top end on my revo. Just wondering if this engine would help with that? Any suggestions would be helpful.

You could always go the cheaper route and play with the gearing and see what you could do with the 3.3. Lots of choices with spur gear and clutch bell, close, standard, or wide ratio gears in tranny...

21TM gives more bottom end but lacks in the RPM when compared to TRX3.3. If you want more top end I would recommend changing the gearing and maybe using a tuned pipe like dual chamber Resonator from Traxxas. Of course 21TM with right gearing will also give good top end but will cost you more.

look at some clips on youtube... 3.3 with the correct tuning and gearing will be hard to top... plus if you AB Mod it, then I don't know if the 21TM can keep up...

even if you mod a 3.3 and blow it. So what, you can replace it for around 150.00 or cheaper if you shop around. That's what 35.00 more or less than the ERP.

It does not matter what you do to the engine when doing the ERP.
All that is required is the Block, Crankshaft, Piston/Sleeve, Con Rod, Carb, Cooling head, and backplate be included. It does not matter what condition or what mods have been done to them.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

+1, I can vouch for that.
You should see some of the trashed motors I've sent in for the ERP.
