Are tire chains or screws in the tire better for getting traction?

I just made some chains yesterday, I used black chains, each link is about 3/4 of an inch long. I used 22 links on the sides and each cross section piece is 6 links. I used 6 cross sections evenly spaced, that leaves about 2 treads between each cross section of chain. Total chain used is about 18 feet. If anyone would like to see it installed on my Maxx I will post pics.
Who needs nitro, when you got LiPo?

Most of the time, the chains in the snow are more decorative than functional.
We can easily think that traction is much higher but the reality is that it requires a very specific snow conditions to check increasing traction.
Compacted snow and cold atmosphere below 4 or 5 C.
On ice, the chains are not useful in a RC monster truck, and it's better to use screws.
I have had the opportunity to practice more than 50 hours on ice and snow of different types and the best result I've achieved with these combinations,
except in powder snow that does not support the weight of the Emaxx.

I'm actually really jealous of him. A while back he posted some of the most beautiful pics I have ever seen. Just amazing photos of his E-Maxx in the mountains.

If you respond, let me know where you live as I would love to go out there and enjoy the scenery.
    I don't have a witty signature.
