    How did this happen

    http://www.photobucket.com/albums/oo...t=manifold.jpg

You have to look closely but the manifold has pinched shut. I have no idea how this happened temps are reasonable and im not bashing that hard. I think its the combination of the rear mounted exhaust and the heat of the engine with a couple of flips onto the exhaust. Going to upgrade to an hpi with a larger diameter opening. In fact now thats its too cold to even run outside i think im going to do a complete overhaul. look forward to sharing some before and after photos with the guys who kept me motivated to work through all the headaches involved with owning a nitro rc.
All of your quick responses to my questions have saved hours of troubleshooting on my end.
    Thanks

I think the "couple of flips onto the exhaust" pretty much sums it up...

That'll happen quite a bit with the traxxas screw mounted headers. The fact that there is no "give" (that it's solidly mounted on the block), and the header itself is cast aluminum makes it very fragile. Look for any spring mounted headers and that should cure the problem.

Those headers are like butter when they're heated up. I've gone through three of the revo headers and one of my nitro rustler headers.

If you don't like Nitro, you don't like anything!
