Lights

I know the Summit isn't out yet, but I have a question about the lights... In the video it shows the lights coming on, is this controlled throught the RX? If they are it would have to be slaved to another function, as in they'd come on when switched from high gear to low gear, or when the lockers are engaged... anyone know?

Ch 1 - Steering
Ch 2 - Throttle
Ch 3 - Tranny (Hi/Lo)
Ch 4 - Diff lockers
Ch X - Lights?

In the vid from Ihobby they remove the body .....

looks like the lights are always on... also the TQ has only 4 channels...

That is what I figured, but, in the video it shows them coming on, guess that is the power of post-production. Anyone know how they get power (other than from the batteries)? I'm thinking about getting one just to part to my other projects...

According to a traxxas rep in one of these threads. The lights are on by your choice...plug them in and they are on or unplug them and they will be off. They are not controlled by the Rx.

I thinking that it would not be hard to slave them to a RX function, like when you shift to low range they turn on, all it would take is a simple knife switch...

An remotely operated on/off switch is whats needed, and is easy enough to come by, if you know where to look:
