    Question A few basic questions....

First off, what kind of runtimes can I expect using 3000 6-cell batts?

I have a bunch leftover from my old touring car days, so that's whay I'll most likely use

How exactly does the switching on the lockers work?

The site says there are 3 options (Unlocked, Front Lock and Front/Rear Lock), but going by the video, it looks like an SPST switch that just locks both Front and Rear

Also, what kind of range will I get out of the stock radio system?

I've been looking for a basher that will go just about anywhere and not get stuck (like a crawler), but sumthin fast enough to get out to its own way if needed

This seems to fit the bill nicely

The locker switch is a 3 position. One for full diff. One for front dig. One for full lock. Couldn't tell you about run times on it though with your batts. or range

It uses about the same radio system Traxxas has used for a long time. My Stampede will go out of sight before it looses radio range.

    Thanx for the info, guys

Range is definitely a concern since I plan on adding one of my wireless cams and driving by monitor when I wanna go ninja on someone

Your old batts - have you maintained them? If they have not been charged in a year or more they may all be dead. You should look into getting at least one pack of latest generation cells. Best bang for your buck IMHO is :
