what about this one: http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=71 8000mAh, 3S2P, 12C. More voltage then the one i was looking, for almost the same price. 8000mah will last for what 40 min or so i think ?

You are about right. The 8000 mah should be good for about 45 minutes to an hour. (An hour would probably be if you were using a brushed setup and driving somewhat slow )

I am running the TRC 7.4 5000 20c with an MMM and 1515 1y. I only have about 5 cycles, but so far they are working great. You have to do some negotiating with the battery trays for a good fit, but the performance is awesome. Compared to my 7.4 Venom lipos that couldnt even supply enough power to keep the rx alive when you punched it, creating about a 4 second lapse in communication between the rx and tx.

Lunchbox, did you say you are running 2 7.4 packs and you had to do some negoitating for those to fit? That doesnt sound right. Most 2S packs will fit fine, the 11.1 3S packs are the ones with the tight squeeze

I imagine he means removing the adjustable stops inside the battery compartments, and making sure the wires dont get snagged as they exit the little hole above the door- 'tis a tight gap.

These are in a hard shell case and coupled with the battery plugs that come out of the top it is a tight fit. I had to resolder the plugs at a 90 degree angle and make the gap for the wires in the battery doors a bit larger. Not that big of a deal really. But in thier "out of box form" they will not fit well.

To be honest I would be quite worried driving for 45 minutes without checking the car in between....and if you check it you could buy a second set of 5000 f.i......

BTW do you know if those lipos could be shipped across the ocean ( Atlantic ) ?

    thanks

Been tossing this idea in my head. RCLipos do a ELITE 4S,
    Specs:
    14.8V 4500mAh (4 cells) 30C/50C
    Rating: 30C (135.0A) continuous, 50C (225.0A) burst
    Dimension: 152mm x 44mm x 30mm

If you run them in parallel, you will get a 9000mAh, 30C (135A) cont /50C (225A) burst. with a little sandpapering this will be an awesome setup.

Has anyone tried a parallel setup??? Also how good @ elite batteries???

If you could get those to fit, it'd be nice. Also, you would have 270 amps continuous....9000x30C =270.

They should do ok.Figure even if they are overrated some, they should do 100 amp, more then enough for anything except hardcore speed runs.50mph they should do great.

what if I wanted hardcore street runs? I already have an e-revo with a novak 6.5 and a pair of 2s 7.4v 8000mah lipos that has decent power, but I want to go crazy with my new brushless revo. I'd like to maximize the 6s 25v capabilities. Thanks!

Honestly it's hard to say ,but it seems that the Enerland based packs are the best. But thats honestly a matter of opinion, and since I have none that I would consider in the best category it's hard for me to say.I have good SMC's,but they are a hard cased 2s,so no way to get to 6s.

Would 270A be a bit to much for a Neu 1515 1Y, since they are rated for 110A???

No it will be fine, you want the batteries to supply more amps than the motor will draw.

Can you tell me what type of power you get from those 2S batts? I run a track (nothing fancy), and I plan on going for the MMM system - just want to know what type of power to expect from 2S and 3S systems. Thanks!

The 2s2p 15C packs will provide plenty enough power for the MMM system. Dan told me himself that they underrate the specs on their packs. He said the 10C packs are more like 12C, so the 15C packs are probably more like 17C.

I have been shopping for lipos for the ERevo Brushless, I was told these from FlightPower were very good. Some said they are amongst the very best in quality and performance. I have read most of the FAQ and did a lot of searching, it's just that at the price they are sold, I'd like the opinion of someone with experience. I'm a complete brushless and lipo noob.

Should I be getting lipos like this one?

    http://flightpower.ca/b2b/cart.php?t...category_id=49

    Or maybe this one?

    http://flightpower.ca/b2b/cart.php?t...ategory_id=102

    Thanks

Why spend over $100 per battery more than you can get the ***** packs for? Check the link brushlessman posted in post #2.

Flightpower uses enerland cells, known to be among the best...
...enerland is the battery everyone compairs other batteries to when deciding if they are any good, so that should tell you something.

anyway, the first battery has a 91amp continuous rating...a bit less then I would shoot for, but should be fine....the second battery doesnt list the dimensions, so im not sure it would fit in an e-revo.

I suggest reading the rest of the FAQ thread. there is a lipo update added by the Oracle later if you read on. make sure you read the whole thread. There is alot of info in there that can save you tons of $$.

Check into those *****s...they are by far the best bang for the buck.

You are super right, I am only wondering about delivery time feedbacks.

Other than that, even a month could be tolerated if they arrive at destination.
